The lesson of today is about " Age & Numbers " ..
أنا عمرى 23 سنة
اخى سنه 16 سنة
أنا لدى أخين
أمى عمرها 42 سنة
أبى سنه 55 سنة
Note that:-
- Arabic is written from right to left .. not left to right ..
- you may use either " omry - seny " to express age .. but " omry " is much commonly used.
- the last alphabet in both " omry & seny " varies depending on the pronoun. Somtimes its "omry" others its " omraha - omraho - omrena " and so on ..
- notice the diffrent between "سنه" which means "his age" and "سنة" which means a year.
- in Arabic there is singular, plural and dual .. so if you wanna say "2 brothers " you don't say "ana ldya esnayn akhawat" .. no you just say " ana ldya akhayn" .. "akhayn" is double of "akh" .. which means a single brother ..
- in the Audio there's a pronouncing of the arabic numbers from 1 : 10
good luck .. :)
