We spoke English and German. This time some people we already know from Facebook take part to the meeting. We are very happy to welcome the organizer of the Language Exchange Club Kyiv and one of the owner of the Toytown Germany Ulm.

In the frist meeting of the new year we are six persons from two different coutries

We  had played the ordering game from the last meeting again, but with a soft modification which makes it a little bit more interesting.

We also discuss about the different meanings of the German word vorstellen

We had organized a small game to see how fast we can build up a line without reading. Because it takes less half of a minute we will modify the rules when we play it the next time.

To learn each others names we had introduction rounds of each persons neighbor and herself in all the languages we know.

To study german we try to find opposites. One person say a thing and someone from the group should find the opposite. Currently we have

We had learned the meaning of the chinese character 好.

It is combined from 女(women) and 子(son). The character 好 include both of these single characters in a new word which means good.

Because one of the germans had lived long time in USA his English was very good. A new word we had learn from him was: grain.

We also had a short discussion about the Usage of german gender (der, die, das)

This was the first foreign-language group meeting in Ulm. 5 People joined:

Most of the time we speak english because one of the Chinese didn't speak german very well.
